Texmaco takes immense pride to tell that our partner Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation JSC delivered the third batch S-400 Triumf missile defence system to the Russian Ministry of Defense. The S-400 Triumf system has been developed and produced by Almaz-Antey. Mr. Tribhuvan Darbari – MD & CEO, Texmaco (Adventz Group) congratulated the Texmaco’s partner Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation JSC for delivering the third batch S-400 Triumf missile defence system to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“Within the framework of its obligations under the state defence contract, the Almaz-Antey Air and Space Defense Corporation JSC handed over another (the third in the year 2020) regiment set of the S-400 missile air defence systems to the Ministry of Defense ahead of time,” the announcement reads.
India is also waiting for Russia’s S-400 Triumf, the state of art long-range antiaircraft missile system, designed for highly efficient protection from airstrikes, cruise, tactical and operational ballistic missiles, as well as intermediate-range missiles in radio jamming environment.
Mentioning the features of S-400 Triumf, Mr. TS Darbari said, “The S-400 system is highly mobile-all radars, missiles and launchers are mounted on 8×8 cross-country trucks, which makes them harder to detect and destroy.” Mr. TS Darbari further added that it can detect and destroy targets flying as low as 100 feet to as high as 40,000 feet. The S-400 Triumf missiles can address several aerial threats, from combat jets to cruise missiles and air-launched smart bombs, and are resistant to electronic jamming.
According to an article titled ‘Why the IAF wants the S-400 missile?’ published on India Today website– “IAF has closely studied the S-400 system for the past few years and was impressed by the capabilities of these missiles. The IAF’s air defence missiles can currently only engage targets 40 kilometers away. The Medium-Range Surface-to-Air Missile or MRSAM to be acquired from Israel next year will increase its engagement range to nearly 80 kilometers. The S-400 on the other hand more than quadruples the IAF’s missile reach.
Mr. TS Darbari says that the features of these missiles are impressive and the state of art long-range antiaircraft missile system will significantly empower India’s defence system.
